It's not about the tree - It's all trees
is an ongoing series of mostly watercolor drawings in which I try to recreate the trees I saw in real life from memory. Some trees also emerge from my imagination.

Sometimes I am struck by the vague memory of a certain scene, atmosphere or even feeling.
I try to catch it on paper and let the painting tell me the story in its own way.
